SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE – BED DELIVERIES
ABOUT
Sleep in Heavenly Peace Cincinnati (www.shpcincy.org) is an all-volunteer organization that hand-builds and delivers beds to kids ages 3 – 17 who don’t have a bed of their own. Over the past two years, Elder has built 150 beds through our Klusman Day of Service, and we have delivered about 50 beds to date.
THIS SUMMER
Elder will be delivering 30 – 40 beds to kids on our wait list and we will need four volunteers (students or adults) to help us each delivery day. Deliveries involve working with Mr. Forman and another Elder teacher, and carrying all of the bed parts – headboards, side rails, slats, mattress, bedding, and pillow – to the homes and assembling the beds. All tools and instructions are provided.
