Elder Community Service – The Altiora Challenge

THE ALTIORA SERVICE CHALLENGE

Thanks for your interest in participating in the Altiora Service Challenge.  This challenge is for an elite group of Elder students who are aiming to strive for higher things in the area of community service – investing more time, participating in more events, communicating more effectively, and leading by example.

We have officially begun the Altiora Challenge with 50 students taking the Challenge.  The Challenge officially began on Sat, Sep 27 and concludes Thu, Apr 30.  

Challengers are asked to…

  • COMMIT: Earn community service hours during the challenge period.
  • SERVE: Volunteer in our Periodic Service Programs & One Time Events.
  • COMMUNICATE: Check your email and listen to (or read) announcements.*
  • LEAD: Invite friends to participate in any of the activities with you. Note: This must be a friend not taking the Challenge.

* Communication Test: Periodically, Mr. Forman will send you an email to read or have an announcement made over the PA.  After you read it or hear it, you must respond back to Mr. Forman know. If you don’t respond in the proper time frame you get a strike (X).  Three strikes and you are out of the challenge.

RECOGNITION

In early May, we will recognize those who earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold.  Each successful challenger will receive a certificate, recognition on our website, bulletin board and social media, and prizes.
