SHP – Teen Team

SHP CINCY TEAM DREAM TEAM

SHP Cincinnati is dedicated to working with teens interested in raising awareness for those in our community who are sleeping on the floor. Our goal is to get high school and middle school students get involved with Sleep in Heavenly Peace so they can make an impact in people’s lives and feel the fulfillment of serving others. 

TEEN DREAM TEAM MISSION

Students interested in taking on a leadership role at their school can apply to be part of the Teen Dream Team.  Students from schools across the tri-state are welcome to apply to be a part of this team.  Note: We limit membership on the Dream Team to a small number of students from any given school, however ALL teens are welcome to join us for our build events and deliveries. 

DREAM TEAM ACTIVITIES

  • Building Beds – Team members are asked to participate in sponsored bed builds, as well as leading other teens during Teen Build Nights at our warehouse.
  • Delivering Beds – Team members participate with our monthly scheduled delivery days, as well as special Teen Dream Team Delivery Days.
  • Bedding Drives – Dream Team members must host a bedding drive at their school to help provide new twin-size bedding for kids in need.  We will even bring a bed to your school to set up and will serve as a focal point for the drive! 
  • Leading Teen Nights @ SHP Warehouse – This fall and winter, teens from across Cincinnati come together to build beds for kids in need. Dream Team members lead these evenings.  Visit www.shpcincy.org/teenbuildnights for information. 
  • Teen Team Build Event (Tentative) –  If we find a build sponsor, we are hopeful we can host a Teen Build Day will be held where teens from across Cincinnati can come together to build beds for kids in need.
